I’ve never used any of the new post processing tools like Lightroom. But as far as Photoshop is concerned, there’s nothing to the advantage of using them.
My image is perfect, I’ve got everything perfectly correct. All I have to do is make an adjustment on it and that is it, I don’t have to think. I don’t have to know about any of the little tweaks of the different filters or the different ways of applying the color. I don’t have to know about the different parameters to apply different adjustments. All I need to do is make the adjustment of the image and that’s it. That’s it. There is nothing to the advantage of using the new tools. What’s the advantage? The advantage is I don’t have to worry about the different color, I don’t have to worry about the different exposure level. You could even say that the new tools can be a disadvantage in certain situations. That’s true. If you’ve got something totally perfect, it’s just perfect, then I don’t have to care about it and I don’t have to care about the different parameters that I’ve got to be able to apply, like maybe you shouldn’t be using that purple. [laughs] That’s true. It’s not true at all.
The one advantage I have is the image’s been professionally corrected with all those different elements that I’ve applied. The advantage is that I don’t have to think about anything. I don’t have to worry about the differences of that image or the way I’ve made the adjustment. That’s the ultimate advantage of being able to make such wonderful images all without thinking about them. That’s the greatest advantage.
Can you tell me about your background and your love of movies and books?
I just love all things cinema, I just love movies. I have two favorite films in the world, one being “A Beautiful Mind” and this is “The Matrix.” I love those films because I don’t even know how to explain it. It’s unbelievable, I’ve seen that movie five times. But I have a huge love for “The Matrix” because it has a really strong concept, you want to find out what’s happening and how things work. I’ve seen “The Matrix’s” first two movies, but I know the third one’s going to take my breath away! So, I just love it. I just love watching it, and I also love the book. I read the first one several times
