Lightroom has got lots of options. Its great for beginners because it’s the same as other software but not the same as Photoshop because it is not the best in many of the areas of photography. There are a lot of good choices for beginners in Photogallery. There is plenty of different settings for the basic photography but there are also special adjustments such as darkening and lightening, contrast and highlight selection.
Do you prefer to work in PhotoShop and Lightroom or Lightroom and Photoshop or only Photoshop?
Photoshop is my second choice. I like the new options provided in LSI Lightroom and Lightroom (and especially the Lightroom 4 beta) and I’m a big fan of the ability to use filters. Photoshop is nice because you get more control over the colours, but if you only edit photos for your portfolio, then Adobe Photoshop is the way to go.
How much do you use your iPad for photo editing?
My iPad is really useful for taking photos and it has an impressive 5-megapixel camera. It also has a large screen, so I rarely use it for the photo editing. Sometimes I need to go online and do something, so I use the computer for that. When I go in front of the camera, usually on the phone screen, I’m using my computer. Of course, I use my iPad for everything else, but its great for taking photos, watching YouTube, playing games and just about anything.
Photography has become more and more popular throughout the years. What advice does your editor have for the upcoming generation?
I think we have to be more aware of photography. Photography is not something to sit back and watch as it is, you have to work and to do that it needs to be a hobby. In today’s world, there is an endless supply of content which you just can’t watch or enjoy. So do what you love and don’t lose sight of that. You can use Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Camera RAW, EPS.
Are there any tips for beginners to learn Photogallery?
First and foremost, keep trying. Do something new. It’s good to keep pushing and trying something new and different. If you can’t be bothered to sit down and try something new, then you’ve already lost the war in the war of the images. So take your pick from what you like and find something that makes you happy.
