A. The highest key is C (with the exception of the D major key).
B. The highest key is E.
C. The highest key is F#
D. The highest key is G
E. The highest key is A.
F. The highest key is B
G. The highest key is C
H. The highest-keyed note is 1. You can use the scale you have most of the other notes in by just changing the notes to lower C’s.
Q: So, I am looking to improve my tone or technique. Do you have anything that may help me out?
A: I feel like there is a lot to be learned by focusing on just one instrument. I would like to thank Dave Flemming, who’s provided me with some great tips for how to develop my tone. Dave has also been very helpful in finding the exact key for me. But, Dave himself is a little bit of a geek. He has to be careful playing the octave down because, he thinks, there is a “trouble tonic” that has to be played at the end of his tone, so, he’s made a chart with the major keys. If this doesn’t help you, here are some other more useful tips:
