What is the fastest way to switch chords on a ukulele? – How To Learn Ukulele Tabs Easy

When I first got the ukulele, it was one of the fastest chord-swapping methods I saw. It’s the only method that I’ve ever used. However, as you’ve probably figured it’s still not the easiest way—the ukulele sounds so wonderful with a solo accompaniment.

So how do you practice that chord-switching method?

I started playing that method with guitar. Since guitar has the same chords as the ukulele, I could just switch those chords up and down, and do it in an instant. Once I had learned how to start playing the guitar solo accompaniment with the chord switches and the chord changes, I was able to quickly jump in to doing a solo.

I used the different chord patterns a lot. A lot of soloing guitar is working between the different chords, so that way I got the chord and chord changes faster. And then once I got that feeling, I could pick up on it as I walked through the song. I learned how to start playing the chords and how to get the rhythm, with every time switching. I wasn’t always able to do that with guitar though.

Do your other parts often switch up the order of other elements on different tracks?

I’d say so. If there’s one thing that’s common to every song, it’s that all the vocals sing to one chord. So I might come in and sing the vocal at 3:14, and then the verse is going to sound like 9 a.m. or 11 a.m., and I go back and sing the vocals at 10 a.m. or 3 p.m.. There’s always a little bit of a different order to a song.

One thing I notice is that the transitions between the different parts take a little bit of time. For Example B is about a minute and 15 minutes on it. The transition is slowest on the chorus. There’s a short delay, but that doesn’t go up to the chorus, so that’s not a big thing that changes up the whole performance on that song.

What do you notice about the way you move through the different parts in Example B? For example, the vocal is always moving through the verse first, and then the verse is going to move through verse first, second, and third.

It’s still the same order: 1st verse 2nd verse 3rd verse 4th verse, and then the verse is going
