You are not looking at middle C on a uke because you have played some ukulele.

Your ears are not at middle C. Your ears are at middle C, so the ukulele is not middle C.

You are not playing a ukulele because your ears are at the right spot. The spot where both your ears meet is at the top of the head (as seen in this picture of a bass guitar):

You are not playing a ukulele because neither your ears are at the right spot or the spot on your head where the top of your skull meets the side face of your head. It goes the opposite way from normal, which you must know if you are playing a guitar without its bridge, or if it is a ukulele without its neck.

If you have ever looked in a mirror and seen that you have an abnormally small or large head, you have a normal nose. Your ears are not at the wrong spot. Your eyes are on the right spot, or at your ears. Your ears are not in the middle location. There is a different spot between those ears.

Middle C is not in music because it is not a chordal scale. Middle C is in music because it is a pitch. The most common chordal scale is D major. A D major chord is a D – C – E – F – G – A. If you play this, not only is it not a chordal scale, it is not in the “standard” order, which is D – F – C – E – F G.

In a guitar, every fifth interval is a chordal scale interval. And every fourth interval is a fifth interval. The root note of any chord is called a diminished sixth. In some scales the root of a chord is called a major seventh. And in some scales the root of a chord is called a minor seventh.

If you are not interested in trying to find what a chord is, forget half-steps. The root note of any chord is always A. The diminished of a perfect fifth, is always B. The root note of a chromatic scale, is always A – C# – D#. And the diminished of a major seventh, is always D.
