We are so pleased with the results the K9 Baked Potato Stuffed Cauliflower recipe got our dogs eating on their own, on a real healthy diet. The combination of the potato is high in fiber, protein, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins, and makes an excellent stuffing for your dog. And don’t forget the “dried fruits” – they will keep your dog hydrated and ready for dinner without having to give up the meal.
We would love to tell you all about the dog diet that has so impressed us. But how? Well, we have heard that it takes hours to prepare and get your dog used to eating. And that was not the way our dogs are used to eating. So that’s why we started with the simplest of meals and had our dog pick out as many as she wanted in a 30 minute period. Then we added the best of the best – homemade “ketchup”, “lots of fresh broccoli”, homemade “cheese” (we didn’t really know what it was called) and the homemade dog meat. All you need is time and patience, and we promise you will not be disappointed.
1 tablespoon olive oil
Veggies such as broccoli, corn, red peppers, spinach
Vegetables such as onion and carrot
Bean cheese sauce
Peel and finely dice the potato and add both to your kitchen. We used a food processor to pulverize the potato – for the first batch we used a food processor that had 3 speeds – fine, medium and coarse. But for the second batch you will need a blender.
Drain the potato and add all the remaining ingredients into the blender bag (the one that goes with the potato) except for the beans cheese sauce. Blend until smooth and creamy
When it’s smooth, add the beans cheese sauce into the blender bag and blend until smooth.
Add the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Once the veggies are smooth you can add in some chopped cheese and blend until smooth as well.
The final step is to blend in salt and pepper. If you have the option of salt and pepper don’t forget to add extra 🙂
Add the veggie mixture in a bowl and mix well.
Let it sit for a couple of hours on your countertop with the cheese sauce on top of the veggies. If
