In my experience, the ink fades the most rapidly. It’s as if you’re going to use a pen to draw a line on your skin and if you have a very long ink line, it will fade the fastest, because it’s more like a pen. You have to draw a very, very long line with a very clean, well-defined line. Your average artist makes an average line with about a quarter-inch margin and it looks like ink on a piece of paper. That’s it.
How can somebody who is not a skilled artist make an impressive tattoo design, if nobody knows that line or the background before they started making the tattoo? I know a couple artist that have taken a very low-budget approach. They used a very cheap tool and I don’t think they’ve made much because, again, I would say you’re talking about an average guy doing this and their skills are at a very low level.
Can this method of tattooing be effective? Sure. It’s much better than the traditional method of doing the tattoo. This is really a matter of time. You have to have time, and you have to feel that you’re doing the right thing.
This is the only tattoo art technique that you do not need a tattoo artist to achieve a great tattoo design. It’s just one of the techniques out there. You may have to practice or do a little trial and error to get a great tattoo design.
