Breakfast

1 cup almond flakes or walnut flake powder (make 1, 5-8 servings, enough for six lunches/dinner, or one scoop of low fat protein with every meal)

1-2 scoops low carb flax seeds

1 egg + 1 Tbsp. olive oil

1/2 cup frozen pineapple pieces with the shell on

I was on my way to the office on Friday morning, and I had a great morning. I got some exercise. I got lunch.

Then I came home to an empty stomach.

I’ve been eating this same thing for a while now, even more so than I used to.

I’ve been doing a lot of things that make everything feel better:

– eating at restaurants at restaurants (I used to say no to going to Mexican places). All I want is something to keep me full — and this is why.

– working out (especially cardio work) and running.

– watching the Atkins diet. (The one I’m on now with a friend.) (That’s what they do. We are not trying to replace your high protein, low fat diet with a low carb one.)

– not drinking and smoking. (Don’t go there.)

– I’ve been on a very strict food journal since I was about 17 years old. I know it’s not healthy, but it works for me.

I’m not alone here. Every morning I’m on a mission to put an end to my hunger pangs and make me feel full and energetic for the entire work day. It’s been doing me a world of good.

I’m very lean right now, so I’m able to stay very active and not be so heavy — at work, I can only do so much due to my weight, but now that I’m leaner, I’m able to push myself harder. I’m getting the right nutrition with the right foods. I’ve learned that the better I get, the less you think I have to eat more — but it’s worth every calorie
