The diet I am writing about is called the fast. I know, you don’t want to hear this stuff, but it is one thing to talk about a diet. It is another thing entirely to do it. In order to do it well, you have to work out. And I was never successful at that.

The key and the secret to losing weight fast is to stop eating. It’s an essential practice. The Greek word for fasting literally means “to cut” and it is a form of spiritual discipline known as fasting.

Some people are so fastidious that they would never have a single meal without some kind of preparation before it. Sometimes they would do it for twenty-four hours straight.

They took a small piece of their body from every day – usually two or three little pieces of meat – cooked it and ate that. They would cut that up on a Sunday morning in the beginning, take a little piece of that, and put it in a pot with some water and let it stand till Monday day. Then they put some bacon in another little piece of meat and then they would eat one slice of bacon every day.
